A guest lecture by Mr. Howard H. Chyung on the topic: “Human rights in the U.S.”

 On January 23, 2017, Mr. Howard H. Chyung, Second Secretary, Political Officer at the Political-Economic Section of the Embassy of the U.S. in the Kyrgyz Republic delivered a lecture entitled «Human rights in the U.S. ".

 Human Rights are integral possibility of an individual to possess and use the social, economic, political, civil (personal) and cultural benefits, which are guaranteed by the state.

 Protection of human rights and freedoms is a fundamental basis of democratic and lawful state. The study of human rights and freedoms is necessary in order to increase legal consciousness and legal culture of the students.

 During the event, Mr. Howard Chang explained the question of the historical development of human rights in the United States, adoption of the Bill of Rights 1789, religious freedoms, and death penalty. Students learned about realization of human rights in the United States.

 Mr. Howard Chang kindly provided the opportunity for questions to all who was interested in this topic. The Q&A part provided students great opportunity to find out answers for their questions. Interesting questions were asked about death penalty, euthanasia, and the internship program for student at the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.
