Guest lecture: THE ROLE OF THE PERSONALITY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF KYRGYZ DIPLOMACY

 On October 26, 2018, in the framework of the Week of Diplomacy, students of the international relations department participated in a guest lecture about the role of the personality in the development of Kyrgyz Diplomacy.

 Our guest of honor was Prof. Dr. Ishenkul Sadykovna Boldzhurova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus, Latvia and Lithuania (2009), Honored Worker of Education of the Kyrgyz Republic, former Minister of Education and Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, former Rector of Bishkek Humanities University, Honorary Professor of the Kazakh State University of International Relations and World Languages named after Abylai Khan (2001). She was awarded the Dank medal, commemorative medals of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Altyn Gopur International Prize. Ishenkul Sadykovna is also the author of the textbook "Очерки истории советской дипломатии Киргизии" (Essays on the history of the Soviet diplomacy of Kyrgyzstan).

 During the lecture, Professor told about the history of the development of diplomacy in Kyrgyzstan in the years of Soviet rule from the first days of the creation of the People’s Commissariat of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan (March 17, 1944) until independence in 1991. She recalled about the difficulties and achievements of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, she highlighted the contribution of foreign ministers to the development of international relations of our country, their great work in shaping the foreign policy course.

 The students listened with great interest, and we hope that they will be able to learn from the experience of the best foreign ministry officials and become responsible, honest specialists in international relations who will valiantly carry out their work defending the interests of the Kyrgyz Republic.
