On April 5, 2017, the International Atatürk-Alatoo University together with the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic held a scientific and practical conference "Улут жана биздин муундун келечеги", dedicated to the April Revolution and the Tulip Revolution and the Aksy events.

 Participants: professors, lecturers of the IAAU and Academy of MIA KR, experts, students and cadets.

     The main agenda of the conference was defining the place and role of the Aksy events, the April People's Revolution, and the Tulip Revolution in the history of modern Kyrgyzstan. Moreover, participants discussed about the lessons learnt from these events, which took the lives of hundreds of citizens. The eyewitnesses of the April revolution spoke about that bloody day: the aspirations and discontent of the people, about the victims and also, they expressed opinions about the consequences of the revolution.
